We are pleased to announce former First Lady Laura W. Bush as a keynote speaker at Learning 2018.

Mrs. Laura Bush, First Lady of the United States (2001-2009), is a leading voice for spreading freedom and promoting human rights across the globe. As First Lady, Mrs. Bush advocated the importance of literacy and education to advance opportunity for America’s young people and to foster healthy families and communities. Today, Mrs. Bush pursues her work on global healthcare innovations and empowering women in emerging democracies through the George W. Bush Institute.

Mrs. Bush is the author of the bestselling memoir, Spoken From the Heart. She serves on many boards, including the National Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, the Council for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Board of Trustees for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. 

Recently, Mrs. Bush authored the foreword to We Are Afghan Women: Voices of Hope (March, 2016). The book chronicles powerful stories of courageous women in Afghanistan and the risks they face on their journey to build peaceful communities in their country.

Born in Midland, Texas to Jenna and Harold Welch, Laura Bush holds a degree in education and a master’s degree in library science. She taught in public schools in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, and worked as a public school librarian.

Learning 2018 will be held in Orlando, Florida from November 4 to 7 at Walt Disney World.

Vicki Lau - Disruptive Keynoter on VR

Vicki Lau will be a Disruptive Keynoter at Learning 2018! 

Entering the Hollywood film industry from Singapore with no connections, Vicki Lau landed portfolio blockbuster movies and shows such as “The Walking Dead” and “War for the Planet of the Apes,” becoming a sought-after VFX freelancer in under 2 years, whilst working at mobile and VR early-stage startups in Silicon Valley and Beach. Independently, she had amassed 40 crew members for her short film, which debuted at film festivals. An artist, programmer and entrepreneur, Vicki brings her experiences from varying industries to provide a Disruptive Interactive Keynote at Learning 2018!

Genius Bar for Learning!

Learning Genius Bar for Learning Innovations!  We are very excited to add a "Learning Genius Bar" at Learning 2018 - harnessing the expertise, experience and collaboration of our 2,000 global learning participants.

Our "Genius" Volunteers will be organized by area of expertise (eg. Design Models, xAPI, Mobile Tech, Assessment, Organizational Politics, Compliance, UserExperience, Facilitation, Leadership and more).   Learning 2018 Participants can reserve time at the Genius Bar as individuals or as a small group from a company with a common concern.
